Full privacy fits when you want the yard sealed off: a screened backyard, a street-facing seclusion line, a screen around a hot tub or equipment, or a security boundary. A solid wall stops the breeze and holds more heat than a gapped fence, so a hot inland yard wanting privacy with airflow is usually better off with the aluminum semi-privacy fence.

Wind behaves the opposite of the gapped styles here. What drives the cost, and why a solid wall sits at the top

An installed price turns on the height (privacy runs go tall), the run length, the gate count, the posts and steel insert a solid run carries, and site or slope work. A solid panel uses more aluminum than the gapped semi screen or the open picket, so both its material and price land at the top of the trio.

Privacy Panel Colors

Full privacy carries the broadest range of the aluminum styles. The horizontal solid slat panel takes black, white, or a wood grain look. The contoured panels, vertical and horizontal, are matte black. Broad is relative: aluminum runs far shorter than vinyl, and nothing is custom.
